Arduino at Digital Taipei IoT Technology for Education and Making Featured

Federico Musto was invited to Digital Taipei - international educational conference - to talk about IoT based technology for educational makers.
In support of the Industrial Development Bureau, under the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan, the Institute for Information Industry and research organized "cross-border and international intellectual Campus Innovation Forum and Exhibition" on September 8th and 9th, called “Digital Taipei”.  The event aimed to facilitate the development of the smart campus industry by sharing the international trends in smart learning and cross-disciplinary innovation.

Arduino CEO Federico Musto was honored to be one of the guest speakers at this event, along with top executives from other global technology companies, representatives from the government, academic/research institutes engaged in cross-disciplinary applications of e-learning. The total number of participants was over 600.
Arudino's presentation concentrated on the Trends of Cloud-based IoT Technology for Educational Makers. Moving from hype to reality, the IoT is a playground [one that stands to make a lot of money] resulting in products that improve the way we live and find new ways to go about our business in our homes and cities. Arduino is seeing thousands of IoT projects around the world making headway commercially. We believe that the passion starts in school. Instead of learning traditional sewing and wood carving, kids today are learning how to build things controlled by code, integrate robotics into their creations, and program devices interactively with their smart phone or remotely using the Internet. This new "connected" paradigm where digital meets the physical world enables anyone to create applications that are literally changing our world.

Arduino has been a part of this evolution for a decade. Federico outlined the IoT vision and excitement, highlight incredible examples of what is being built, and talk about the Arduino Primo and Primo core, the "Swiss-army knife" prototyping platform which is low-cost, highly capable and “connectable” for IoT products.
Everybody from Arduino enjoyed “Digital Taipei” very much and hopes to participate in this event next year.
