Arduino @ Smart Hardware Festival in Beijing
Arduino appeared at the Smart Hardware Festival of Zhongguancun Business Street in Beijing on September 15th -16th, with new products：Arduino Starter Kit, Arduino Uno, Arduino Yún, Arduino Yún Mini, Arduino M0, Arduino Mega 2560, which raised broad interest from all the attendees.
Among the new products, Arduino Starter Kit (Chinese version) for beginners and education purpose was particularly notable. As the first Arduino product made specifically for the Chinese market, The kit includes almost all the know-hows and courses needed for Arduino usage, is suitable for students and entry-level makers, contains 14 projects to reduce the learning curve and facilitate Arduino usage. Before the Chinese version was released, the starter kits had been widely used in STEM (Science|Technology|Engineering|Mathematics) education among many middle schools , high schools, and universities in US, Canada and Europe.
Arduino Yun Mini, Arduino M0, and other products attracted the attendees as well.
One of the Arduino fans said “I’m so glad to see you here. The first board in my life is Arduino Uno, it’s not only a product, it represents a lifestyle”. About the new products, the makers said, if there were such a perfect learning kit when we were learning, it would be more convenient for us to master the knowledge and skills. Before, we can only look at the pictures of the boards on the Internet, but now we can see all kinds of Arduino boards and communicate with Arduino engineers directly, that’s amazing!
“It’s our honor to attend this event, we look forward to have a deep communication with all the makers, designers, developers and domestic smart device manufacturers.” said Ms. Chen Yurong, managing director of Arduino China,” We hope to directly communicate with Chinese users through Arduino’s Chinese website、Weibo and WeChat platform, to learn their demands and preferences. In the future, we will work with local players in the fields of technology and education, and empower and support other partners in Arduino’s ecosystem, to facilitate common prosperity and development of the whole ecosystem.”
