Arduino @ That Conference 2015
Arduino will be presented this year at the That Conference, one of the best technical conferences in the Midwest, which will take place August 10th - 12th, at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, USA.
If you don’t know it yet, the That Conference is THE “Summer Camp for Geeks”! An event focused on the technology community and who provides an incredible forum for sharing ideas and learning from each other. During these 3 days, you will be able to meet fellow campers to geek out on everything about web, mobile and cloud. Moreover, you will have the possibility to choose from over 150 sessions of conferences, the majority of them provided by technology professionals and adult-oriented.
This year, Daniel Kline will hold a presentation about the buzz around IoT and the Maker Movement. It is a unique opportunity to get introduced to the available development systems (Arduino, RaspberryPi, BananaPi, Eleduino or CubieBoard, HummingBoard and others), to learn more about the basic hardwares, the community resources and vendors, but most of all, this session will help you get over the first hurdles and give you the confidence to start creating your own projects.
One of the unique features of “That Conference” is certainly the “Open Spaces” which will allow you to work "hands-on" with a few of the development systems. A very large area will be set aside for the entire duration of the conference, where attendees and speakers will be invited to schedule impromptu sessions and sign up for sessions that interest them. This year, with Daniel Kline, you will have the chance to put your “hands-on” various SBC devices (Arduino included) and therefore make your first experience. The intent of these “Open Spaces” is to help you get over the frustrations of getting started and with the help of the starter kits, you will easily complete your first projects. So if you think you have what it takes to be an innovator and explorer, this session will make starting the adventure more fun!
Geeks, families and anyone interested in technology are invited to attend the That Conference. You will have the possibility to recreate and explore technology together, take advantage of the networking opportunities during happy hour, beat fellow geeks at Game Night, have a swim in the waterpark and much more. So don’t miss the opportunity and get your tickets for the community conference here.
Are you also interested to undertake something during the weekend? Then show up earlier, on the 8th and 9th of August at the Midwest GiveCamp. An event hosted by the That Conference and teamed up with the Humanitarian Toolbox in a quest to help build software in support of disaster relief. Of course, it is a free event for all paid attendees.
We hope you will all enjoy this event and have a lot of fun!
