Tenaya Hurst: THE Arduino Woman

Arduino woman, education accounts manager for Arduino and CEO of Rogue Making, Tenaya Hurst made a presentation about Fashion and Technology at the Microsoft Store on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue.

Tenaya talked about the whole year of 2015. All the events she took part in, the Arduino teaching she has done, the wearable she has created and also Rogue Making. Tenaya has always been inspired by teaching and wants people to always keep making. She loves the Maker movement and thinks that we should all add electronics to our arts and crafts.

At first in life, she was an actress and has a degree in geology and anthropology till she discovered Arduino and became a Maker. We all love the cool pronunciation she has given to the Arduino name: Harduino- because it's hard!  Arj-dueeno, Aderino, Ard-wino, Arjedaweeno, Arj-duweno, Adriano-Arguing-Arduous are also funny mispronunciations and autocorrects!

Tenaya’s passion for Arduino is to make Wearable Tech and all the incredible and infinite possibilities the market offers. This is why Rogue Making is all about teaching the wearables. But not to only fulfill the kids dreams Tenaya also created her own fashion wearable collection and presented it at the New York Fashion Week. How incredible is that? We all like her insane looks with amazing dresses, Arduweenie dog and not to forget the LED shades!
