Arduino at Maker Faire New York

7th Annual World Maker Faire New York 2016 called the Greatest Show and Tell on Earth was an amazing weekend for the Maker community and Arduino.

According to the Maker Faire, it became the most successful World Maker Faire New York yet with over 90K attendees that came out to see the Faire over the weekend!

Following the tradition started in San Mateo, we had an amazing cardboard booth again.  Assembling this kind of a booth is always fun, and a great way to exercise. Unfortunately, the rainy and windy weather was not merciful to the material, but we managed to protect the booth as well as we could, so it survived the weekend.

At the Arduino booth, we showcased a few noticeable demos. The first one was a demo of Arduino Yun and Ciao library: you could play a fun game by pushing buttons in different colors.

Another outstanding demos were the ones using Arduino Otto and Primo. Th colors and intensity of LED lights in the lamp could be controlled using LCD STAR display.

Arduino Women - Tenaya Hurts - surprised us by wearing the dress with LED strips, color of which was controlled by Arduino Otto, transformed into a big watch on her wrist. Moreover, Tenaya presented her project Arduweenie - shinning and colorful dog that listens to your voice commands with help of Arduino and MOVI shield.

Maker Faire New York was a success for Arduino, and we are looking to the next one!
